Cooling Towers

As the cooling tower failure consequences are understood and the causes of failures are analyzed, priority to prevent the catastrophic disaster occurs, which leads to asset protection. Measuring the key vibration parameters and analyzing vibration data from a cooling tower are the most important actions to be taken.

Horizontal Pumps

Metrix provides a vibration sensor for all bearings and a Datawatch monitor. The Datawatch monitors all vibration and temperature readings and compares them to pre-programmed setpoints in order to change the state of alarm and danger relay outputs.

Reciprocating Compressors

Frame vibration measurements are useful for monitoring vibration related to the running speed and forces acting on the machine. Used in conjunction with an impact transmitter or an accelerometer, malfunctions associated with low frequency and high frequency events can be reliably detected. Metrix recommends the use of the ST5484E Velocity Transmitter for frame vibration.
